Get The Most Out Of Summer

Get the Most Out of Summer

We’re in the thick of summertime! After months and months of dealing with COVID-19 on top of life’s normal stressors, it’s finally time to unwind and de-stress and get the most out of summer. With longer days and great weather, for many people, summer is the only time in a year they get to spend on things other than work. And a lot of people have no idea how to spend their time because they’re not used to having this much free time. Lucky for you if you are one of these people, or you’re just looking for something different to do during the summer, this article is for you.

Still, if you want to get the most from the rest of it, try some of the following ideas:

Take a break from what is going on in the world:

Cut yourself off from all forms of technology. Go on a total social media hiatus for a period which depends solely on you, even just one day to yourself can help you reconnect with yourself. You could switch off all your devices for certain hours in a day or even for a whole week. This time is an excellent opportunity to go out and explore. You could run in the sun to get your daily dose of vitamin D or spend some time meditating and de-stressing.

Connect with people:

Interaction is unofficially the 4th basic need of human beings because human relationships are things we can’t do without. Set time aside to call a friend, meet up with family members, or even strike up a conversation with a stranger. And if you’re looking for someone to connect with, make a GeboCall. You could speak about whatever topic is on your mind and establish a genuine connection with absolutely no judgment.

Cross things off your 2020 bucket list:

You know that crumpled up piece of paper where you wrote a list of things you wanted to do before the end of the year? Some people call it a new year’s resolution, but it’s usually just an “I wish I made the time to” list. Well, now is a great time to do all those things you’ve wanted to. Dedicate a little time daily, for the rest of the summer to tackle the things that you want to do.

Eat a meal you’ve never tried:

This seems like quite a cliché thing to say, but fruits and vegetables are just straight-up good for your body, so eat as many as you can this summer, But apart from eating healthy food, also seek to increase the number of tastes your palate has experienced. With so many outings restricted, now is a great time to try to make something new. Choose a recipe from a country you haven’t visited yet and try to prepare it! You might surprise yourself and fall in love with the fresh taste.

Sleep:

Last but not least, take some time out to just rest. Chose a day where you can sleep in and max out on your laziness! Freshen up your sheets, draw the windows to make the room as dark as possible, take a nice shower or bath, cozy in and, and sleep until your body wakes you up.

Wishing you The Gift of an amazing summer!

Tiffany
